half note是音乐中的术语，指的是一种乐符，也叫半音符，即2个拍子。在4/4拍子下，一个全音符（Whole note）是4个拍子，一个半音符就是2个拍子。它用来表示一段乐句的时值，也叫做半拍。
在乐谱中，half note由一个圆圈加一条横线来表示。如果某段乐句中时值为2/4，即一拍只有2个音符时，就可以用2个half note来表示，而如果时值是4/4，即一拍有4个音符时，则可以用4个half note来表示，只不过这4个半音符会被分为两个四分音符来表示。
half note的音高是乐谱中的音符最后的拍子的音高，而它的时值会决定接下来乐句的节奏变化。
