gravity launching的用法详解
Gravity Launching is an approach used to launch satellites and spacecraft into space by taking advantage of the force of gravity. It is a technique that uses the gravitational field of the earth to transfer the kinetic energy of a spacecraft or satellite from the Earth's surface and into orbit.
To use this method, the spacecraft or satellite is lifted from the ground and placed into a custom designed orbital trajectory. The trajectory is designed so that the spacecraft or satellite reaches orbital velocity as it moves through the Earth's gravitational field at an altitude critical for its velocity to escape the Earth's gravity. This is known as the launch window.
The rocket engine of the spacecraft is then fired to provide the extra thrust required to reach the desired orbit. The engine must be fired at the right moment to provide the correct thrust to achieve the required orbital velocity. If the rocket engine is fired too soon, the spacecraft will lose its energy before reaching the desired height. If the engine is fired too late, the spacecraft will not have enough energy to reach the necessary speed to enter the orbit.
Gravity launching has been used to launch several satellites and spacecraft into Earth orbit since the 1950s. This method is useful for spacecraft and satellites as it reduces the amount of fuel required to reach the required orbital velocity. However, its use is limited to Earth orbits and it is not practical to use for deep space missions.
