Fusion weapons can be used for both offensive and defensive purposes. Offensively, they can be used to target multiple targets at once and create a powerful shockwave. Defensively, fusion weapons can be used to counter incoming ballistic missiles.

Fusion weapons, while incredibly destructive and powerful, also have several drawbacks. For one, they are incredibly expensive to build and maintain. Additionally, they have a large yield, meaning that they can cause a great deal of destruction and radioactive fallout. For these reasons, they are only used as a last resort in military conflict.
