footnote的用法详解
footnote是英语里常用的一种解释说明性的文字，用法主要有三种，分别是插入文字之间的注解、文末的注解以及放在文章标题之后的注解。
插入文字之间的注解就是在某个句子或者词语中间加上一个缩写形式的注解，也就是所谓的脚注，它便于读者对文字内容和词语有更加全面的认识，比如etc. ( = et cetera 拉丁文，表示“等等”)、e.g. ( = exempli gratia 拉丁文，表示“例如”)、i.e. ( = id est 拉丁文，表示“也就是说”)等等。
文末的注解是放在文章结尾处的，用来表示文中参考了哪些资料、出处等信息，帮助读者进一步深入了解到文章的原汁原味，有时也可作为文章的补充，以更详尽的形式阐述文章内容，如英文著作中的参考文献，中文文献中的脚注等。
最后，放在文章标题之后的注解，一般用来解释文章标题，说明文章的内容或者主题，如新闻报道中的说明语，让读者对标题有更加深刻的了解，例如：科技新进展（Technological Advancement ）--推进人工智能发展（Fostering the Development of Artificial Intelligence）。
