Economic surveys are usually conducted by governments or research organizations for the purpose of understanding the economic conditions of a certain area. Generally speaking, the surveys would cover different aspects of the local economy such as fiscal revenues and income structure, production structure, resident income and expenditure, health level of the residents, agriculture, fishing and forestry, power supply, social security and so on. Through such surveys and statistics, the economic situation of the area can be determined and provide guidance for decision-making.
