deutzia的用法详解

Deutzia, commonly known as pride of India, is a genus of flowering plants in the Hydrangeaceae family. It is native to eastern Asia, the Himalayas, Japan, Mexico, and Central America. The genus is named after the German botanist Johann von Deutz.

Deutzia species usually have upright, arching branches and white or pinkish flowers borne in colorful clusters or panicles. Several of the species have been used as ornamental plants in gardens.

Deutzia gracilis, a graceful species, has delicate clusters of fragrant white flowers in spring. It typically grows to 2–3 meters (6–9 feet) in height and can be used as a hedge or a specimen plant in the garden. Deutzia setchuenensis, native to Japan, has a rounded, mounded form with white, fragrant flowers; it is used as a low shrub or ground cover.

Deutzia × magnifica is a hybrid between D. scabra and D. crenata with rosy-pink flowers. Deutzia scabra 'Plena' is a double-flowered form of the species with dense clusters of white, rose-tinged flowers. Both of these hybrids make excellent specimen plants.

Deutzia species are easy to grow in full sun or light shade. They prefer moist, well-drained soil and should be given plenty of water during dry spells. They can be pruned to shape them and should be fertilized with a balanced fertilizer in early spring for best results. Deutzia make excellent hedges or garden specimens.
