It is composed of a series of shortened pulses generated by the commutator components (composed of electronic commutator and matched sliding pole pieces), and is provided to the motor control to realize controllable start and stop and speed regulation of the motor. Commutator pulse is also called collision pulse, because it occurs collision between the sliding pole pieces on the commutator to produce magnetic hysteresis and generate electric pulses. Commutator pulse is mainly used for DC motor, and its continuous pulses on magnetic rotor can act on the stator magnetic field multiple times, so as to realize continuously changing torque to control the rotation of the motor. Therefore, commutator pulse can be used to control the speed of single-phase and multi-phase motor to achieve high performance control, as well as regulation of intelligent brake.
