balance of current account（简称balance）一般指某个国家外汇储备中某一特定货币的总量，即一个国家外汇储备的总量。
用法讲解：
balance of current account是和国际贸易有关的金融概念，常用来衡量某一国家的国际付款和付款平衡。它表示当某国家购买外国商品、服务和资产（外国债券、股票等投资）的付款总额，减去外国购买本国商品、服务和资产的付款总额的差值。
假设A国家从B国购买商品总价值1000万美元，同时B国也从A国购买商品总价值1000万美元，那么A国的balance of current account就是0。
但如果A国从B国购买商品总价值1200万美元，而B国仅向A国购买商品1000万美元，那么A国的balance of current account就是200万美元。
balance of current account也经常用来衡量某国外汇储备水平。一个国家外汇储备越高，其外汇储备所持有的某一特定货币的总量，即balance of current account也就越高。
